Job Description:

Associate Director, Software Engineering role in Equities X Asset Fin Tech business, leading Securities Financing Repo IT PODs and ensuring production stability while driving innovation in the organization.

Job Responsibility:

Lead Securities Financing Repo IT PODs
Work closely with product owner to prioritize work and ensure IT systems/products are maintained
Be responsible for production stability and own triage support model for the application
Contribute and make strategic decisions affecting design and architecture of Repo IT platform
Oversee small/medium/large scale projects
Maintain continuous communication with global teams
Collaborate with wider Securities Financing organization to share ideas and promote innovation
Drive and support successful engineering culture

Requirements:

10+ years' experience as a technical development manager and consultant specialist
Strong technical background with deep understanding of Java micro service and database/cloud technologies
Experience leading a development team with strong leadership skills
Effective and confident communicator with proven ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
Being accountable and responsible for both people and applications/systems
Managing critical production incidents
Strong problem solver with desire to work with business and product teams
Appreciation of agile software delivery practices and knowledge of DevOps

Nice to have:

Knowledge of designing and developing responsive UI components
Prior experience of working in Investment Banking Equities and Fixed Income products
