Job Responsibility
Drive operational and strategic procurement activities aligned with company objectives across a global portfolio of products and services, delivering measurable value through cost optimisation, supplier performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives
Develop and implement category procurement strategies aligned with corporate objectives, focusing on continuity, margin improvement, and lifecycle management
Provide market intelligence and lead the identification and assessment of new suppliers with key stakeholders
Lead contract negotiations, extensions, and amendments for Supply & Service Agreements, including review and optimisation of existing contracts
Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to enhance commercial performance and drive improved terms
Analyse market trends and procurement best practice to identify risks, cost-saving, and improvement opportunities
Maintain and continuously improve procurement processes to ensure consistent, cost-effective decision-making for Theramex products
Monitor procurement KPIs, driving continuous improvement and reporting performance to executive leadership
Oversee procurement systems to ensure effective and consistent use
Represent Procurement internally and externally, engaging stakeholders at all organisational levels
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, regulations, and procedures
Travel to supplier sites (up to 20%) for business reviews, contract discussions, and RFP due diligence
Requirements
BSc and MSc or PhD in life sciences, engineering, and/or business
Extensive experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated industries across procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or alliance management
Significant experience in external/third-party direct procurement, including finished products and APIs
Strong knowledge of outsourced GMP manufacturing operations
Excellent influencing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Proven ability to operate cross-functionally, ideally within outsourced models
Strong business and financial acumen with an analytical, problem-solving mindset
In-depth understanding of procurement and contracting processes, including implementation of Supply Agreements
Hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively at all organisational levels
