Beck Center for the Arts seeks an experienced and dynamic individual to join us in the role of Associate Director of Visual Arts Education. As a member of the six-person leadership team for Beck Center’s Education Department, the Associate Director of Visual Arts Education (AD) is responsible, along with the Director of Education, for the design, implementation, management and supervision of the visual arts faculty, class content, and programming, with success being measured by customer satisfaction, enrollment and participation results, budget management, customer renewals and new referrals.
Job Responsibility:
Design, implementation, management and supervision of the visual arts faculty, class content, and programming
Procure and manage supplies for visual arts department
Create catalogue entries for visual arts programming
Oversee and produce special events related to Education programs including 7-10 visual arts exhibitions (curating, installing, managing inventory, deinstallation, and receptions)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in arts education or a related artistic field
3-5 years of teaching and/or management in a community-based setting
Organized, detail-oriented, pro-active, articulate, customer-service oriented and energetic
Ability to work well with students, families, colleagues, and community members
Proficiency in Office Suite and various types of software
