Job Description:

In alignment with the company strategy defined by the Sr. Plant Director, the Associate Director of Supply Chain leads Logistics, Planning and Customer Service to ensure high performance internal and external supply chain flows. The role drives continuous improvement while meeting customer requirements related to service, delivery, cost, quality, safety, and environmental standards. The Associate Director of Supply Chain also supports the Operations Director by acting as a customer-facing representative when required.

Job Responsibility:

  • Determine short term and long term monthly sales forecasts for the site
  • Implement action plans to achieve the objectives set by the Sr. Plant Director and implement them within the department
  • Decide on the organization of the Customer Service Department to ensure customer satisfaction (OTIF)
  • Implement procurement plans in line with inventory reduction targets
  • Set up the Organization needed to support operations
  • Define the annual budget for the Department
  • Ensure logistical relations with customers
  • Manage team (~80 people: Planning / Customer Service /Warehouse and Logistics) in compliance with HR policy (annual performance review, identification of training needs, vacation management, etc.)
  • Define and manage the department's operating budget and direct material budget
  • Define and monitor purchasing savings indicators
  • Monitor and participate in developments in the profession and pass on their know-how
  • Analyze inventories and optimize stock policy / coverage
  • Validate operating purchase requisitions for the department after request by the logistic leader
  • Monitor Lean indicators
  • Know, apply and enforce the rules defined as part of continuous improvement (5S, TPM, SMED, VSM, ...)
  • Ensure that our suppliers comply with environmental specifications
  • Know, apply, and enforce the Company's safety policy
  • Conduct human resources management processes for his / her team (goal setting, performance evaluation, salary review, skills development plan, engagement survey...)

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in supervision and leadership in an identical environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or similar
  • Has already worked in an industry with high quality requirements
  • Has successful experience in an identical position in a demanding industrial environment in terms of responsiveness
  • Has successful team management experience

  • Good knowledge of SAP and its modules (SD, MM, PP, WM)
