Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Associate Director of Software Engineering to lead the development and ongoing support of our next-generation Recruiting Portal. This role will be responsible for building a high-performing engineering team from the ground up, advancing the technical strategy, and delivering a scalable, user-friendly platform that optimizes the recruiting process.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and lead a software engineering team focused on designing, developing, and maintaining a modern recruiting portal
  • Contribute to, and advance, the architecture and technology stack in alignment with business goals and scalability needs
  • Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Establish engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and agile methodologies
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of the recruiting platform
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships as needed

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience building and scaling web applications or platforms
  • Strong understanding of modern front-end and back-end technologies (e.g., Angular/React, Java, Oracle, cloud platforms)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s: Computer and Information Science, Bachelor’s: Information Technology, High School (HS) (Required)
  • General Experience - 6 to 10 years
  • Manager Experience - 3 to 6 years

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Previous experience in solution architecture
  • Familiarity with data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Background in building user-centric platforms with strong UX/UI principles
