This full-time Associate Director, Events role supports a mission-driven, higher-education-based entrepreneurship organization. The position runs through September 18th, is based onsite in Cambridge and follows standard hours of 9:00-5:00 with unpaid lunch, plus occasional evenings, weekends, and limited travel.
Job Responsibility:
Design, plan, and execute high-profile, large-scale entrepreneurship events and speaker series
Manage end-to-end event logistics including budgeting, vendors, venues, contracts, and timelines
Collaborate with faculty, students, internal teams, and external partners to deliver impactful programming
Recruit and manage high-profile speakers and maintain event and speaker databases
Develop project plans, reports, dashboards, and metrics for leadership review
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and oversee financial reconciliation and vendor payments
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of event, project, operations, or program management experience
Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills
Proven ability to manage complex events independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Interest in entrepreneurship and enthusiasm for working with students and academic communities
High level of professionalism, discretion, and comfort handling confidential information
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
