Well-established Commercial Real Estate owner/developer/manager is seeking an Associate Director of Accounting (reporting into the Controller) to mentor and manage a very capable team. Lots of visibility. Interesting, complex, diverse portfolio. Chance to bring next-level approach to role and finance team. Mentoring a small team that is longing for some!

Job Responsibility

  • Leads teams responsible for real estate accounting, tax functions, and delivers cross-functional accounting leadership to ensure consistency and operational excellence
  • Provides strategic leadership for accounting, budgeting, and financial control activities
  • Enhances internal controls by establishing and maintaining effective financial systems and processes
  • Serves as a key member of the financial leadership team, supporting the Controller and collaborating with partners across multiple departments to resolve complex accounting issues
  • Oversees compliance with GAAP, and org fiscal policies, and relevant external regulations
  • manages internal control and tax matters
  • Drives process improvements using technology and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

  • BS Accounting or Finance
  • 10+ yrs exp.
  • Good Commercial RE, REIT, Property Accounting management exp
  • Prior supervisory, managing, mentoring a must
  • Leadership skills are key
