Job Description

Publicly traded medical device company is seeking a hands-on Associate Director of Accounting to join their expanding team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in accounting and financial operations, particularly within the medical device industry. You will play a key role in overseeing technical accounting processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards
  • Conduct cost accounting and oversee stock administration activities
  • Collaborate on the preparation of quarterly and annual reports, including 10Q and 10K filings
  • Provide technical expertise in revenue recognition and related accounting procedures
  • Utilize Sage Intacct software to streamline financial operations and reporting
  • Offer guidance and support to the team in improving accounting workflows
  • Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for business decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in both public and private accounting, with a focus on the medical device industry
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and other regulatory frameworks
  • Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar accounting software
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and stock administration
  • Experience preparing 10Q and 10K financial reports
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities effectively
