Job Description:

The Associate Director, Market Access Marketing, reports to the VP Global Marketing (with a dotted reporting line into the Senior Director of Market Access Strategy) and will be a critical member of the U.S. organization supporting Dompé’s breakthrough therapy, the first and only ophthalmic biologic product (Oxervate) for patients suffering from neurotrophic keratitis (NK), a rare and progressive eye disease. Oxervate’s primary customers are eye care providers (ECPs) who are managing and treating patients with NK which include the Optometrist (OD), General Ophthalmologist (GO), and Cornea Specialist (CS). The Associate Director, Market Access Marketing, will be responsible for partnering with market access in the development and execution of the access (inclusive of payer and patient services) brand strategy and materials for Oxervate in the US with a goal of optimizing payer coverage and enhancing the patient and ECP access experience for Oxervate. The Associate Director, Market Access Marketing, will collaborate with agency partners and internal stakeholders (market access organization) to develop a comprehensive set of marketing resources to support patients, payors, ECP office staff, and Dompe sales and reimbursement teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partner with the Market Access team to develop compelling payer value propositions, messaging, and resources tailored for different access stakeholders (e.g., commercial payers, Medicare, Medicaid)
  • Collaborate with access team to understand payor needs. Co-create payer resources with access team
  • Partner with the Market Access team to develop access and fulfillment messaging and resources for ECPs, Patients, and office support staff
  • Work cross functionally with PRC (medical, legal, regulatory, and compliance) partners to create impactful and compliant materials that support the brand’s strategy
  • Partner closely with the insights and analytics team to make data driven decisions that support the business strategy and goals
  • Work collaboratively with Market Access organization to remove access and fulfillment as a barrier to prescribing
  • Be an active participant and make valuable contributions to the annual brand planning process. Participate in all workshops and ideation sessions. Assist with development of final plan
  • Gather insights from the KAMs and FAMs (key account managers and field account managers) to inform strategic and executional choices that support ECP’s and patient’s access to Oxervate
  • Gather insights from PAMs (patient account managers) to inform strategic and executional choices that support their role and patient’s access to Oxervate
  • In collaboration with the Patient Services team create and maintain all marketing resources promoting and supporting Dompe Care 2 Connect (DC2C) the hub that connects patients prescribed Oxervate with product
  • Collaborate with a Great Team: Work cross-functionally and compliantly across marketing, sales, market access, and PRC to ensure resources and communications are meeting the needs of customers (patients & payors) and identifying new opportunities to improve the customer experience

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree, MBA, or master’s level degree a plus
  • 6 years or more of pharmaceutical, biotech, med device (or broader healthcare) commercial experience with at least 2 years in market access roles
  • Experience partnering cross functionally
  • Experience managing external vendors including agencies of record (AORs)
  • Recent ophthalmology experience a plus, ideally in anterior segment but not a requirement
  • Experience working with “hub” vendors that liaise between the patient, the ECP office, and specialty pharmacy
  • A proven track record of self-driven results-oriented work history
  • Experience collaborating with market research to gain customer insights that will lead to activities that drive the business
  • Self-starter that can readily take action on challenges with an appropriate level of planning
  • Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical legal and regulatory requirements and material approval process
  • Experience with cross-functional review committees
  • Experience creating resources for patients, physicians, office staff and payors on the benefits of a product and it’s fulfillment offerings
  • Experience partnering with AOR to create impactful campaigns and resources
  • Metrics driven mindset, with experience analyzing user behavior & marketing activities to improve customer experience
  • Understanding of various vehicles for creating insights and understanding behaviors and needs of target audiences
  • Demonstrated understanding of legal and regulatory requirements and experience with the health care material review process
