Job Description

The team is primarily responsible for the daily calculation, validation and dissemination of fixed income indices and associated data. The successful candidate will manage a team of analysts responsible for the production of global, S&P and iBoxx-branded, Fixed Income indices, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and integrity. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Associate Director will ensure calculation inputs are validated, oversee calculations and analyze corporate events, whilst staying abreast of market trends to inform decision-making.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead a team of analysts responsible for the validation of inputs used for index calculation to ensure data integrity, including corporate action analysis, price validation and market data assessment
  • Perform quality assurance validations to ensure accuracy and integrity of the index values to be distributed to clients
  • Oversee and optimize daily operating processes for global indices, proactively investigating system alerts and coordinate with the technology team to resolve issues efficiently
  • Manage product delivery ensuring timely dissemination of intraday and end-of-day index data to clients and end users
  • Collaborate with the technology development team to drive automation and enhance our system capabilities
  • Cultivate and maintain key relationships with other groups within the department and across other departments, particularly Product Management, Client Coverage, Index Services and Technology Teams
  • Lead the integration of new products into the daily operations cycle
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of analysts located across different geographical locations in the Americas, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Mathematics, Economics, IT Finance disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working in a financial services or analytics role, with a preference for experience working within the fixed income domain
  • In-depth understanding of financial markets, asset classes and company fundamentals
  • Candidates will have demonstrated experience in managing a team of analysts and a track record of motivating and developing team members effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, particularly excel, with advanced analytical capabilities
  • Strong Analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities to address complex, non-routine problems in a timely and insightful manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively

Nice to have

Experience in databases (SQL) as well as programming languages such as Python and VBA would be beneficial
