The team is primarily responsible for the daily calculation, validation and dissemination of fixed income indices and associated data. The successful candidate will manage a team of analysts responsible for the production of global, S&P and iBoxx-branded, Fixed Income indices, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and integrity. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Associate Director will ensure calculation inputs are validated, oversee calculations and analyze corporate events, whilst staying abreast of market trends to inform decision-making.
Job Responsibility:
Lead a team of analysts responsible for the validation of inputs used for index calculation to ensure data integrity, including corporate action analysis, price validation and market data assessment
Perform quality assurance validations to ensure accuracy and integrity of the index values to be distributed to clients
Oversee and optimize daily operating processes for global indices, proactively investigating system alerts and coordinate with the technology team to resolve issues efficiently
Manage product delivery ensuring timely dissemination of intraday and end-of-day index data to clients and end users
Collaborate with the technology development team to drive automation and enhance our system capabilities
Cultivate and maintain key relationships with other groups within the department and across other departments, particularly Product Management, Client Coverage, Index Services and Technology Teams
Lead the integration of new products into the daily operations cycle
Lead and mentor a diverse team of analysts located across different geographical locations in the Americas, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Mathematics, Economics, IT Finance disciplines
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working in a financial services or analytics role, with a preference for experience working within the fixed income domain
In-depth understanding of financial markets, asset classes and company fundamentals
Candidates will have demonstrated experience in managing a team of analysts and a track record of motivating and developing team members effectively
Proficient in Microsoft products, particularly excel, with advanced analytical capabilities
Strong Analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
Must be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities to address complex, non-routine problems in a timely and insightful manner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively
Nice to have:
Experience in databases (SQL) as well as programming languages such as Python and VBA would be beneficial
