Global Discretionary Product team, part of Wealth and Premier Solutions division, supports the Global Heads of Managed Solutions and I WPS in globally shaping and delivering the DPM proposition. The team designs a coherent WPS DPM proposition across markets and segments, aligned with the IWPB strategy, and executes this design through direct involvement in the Bank’s major growth and change initiatives. Responsibilities include governance and oversight of the global DPM proposition and managing relationships with key internal and third-party partners. As a Global Discretionary Product Specialist, the role-holder aims to enhance client experience and internal controls by developing a platform infrastructure for reporting, product marketing, and after-sales support, thereby aiding the business in achieving its commercial objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with internal GPB and regional stakeholders, along with manufacturing partners, to develop an operating model that provides consistent product marketing collateral for globally managed DPM programmes to front office stakeholders
Serve as an SME on ESG and discretionary products to guide proposition decisions, ensuring HSBC gains a competitive edge in this area
Formulate a strategy for direct client servicing through traditional and digital channels to enhance client experience and advance our discretionary offering
Enhance the control framework to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards, including ESG-related regulations, by in-house or third-party portfolio management partners
Collaborate with Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Legal, and Control Office functions to ensure product design conforms to Group policies and external regulatory requirements
Participate in governance forums on risk, control, and regulatory matters, including drafting and presenting papers and providing updates
Increase the efficiency of pre- and post-sales materials production, reducing workload for WPS and RM/IC client-facing teams
Identify opportunities to simplify and align procedures and processes across Booking Centres and markets while maintaining a robust control framework
Requirements:
Deep understanding of investments, preferably with experience in Discretionary Portfolio Management
Expertise in ESG-related regulatory developments across WPS geographical footprint
Marketing experience, preferably specific to investment products
Demonstrable skills required to deliver in a complex organisational structure, including: excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
ability to work across regions while maintaining a global perspective
delivery-focused, with a good understanding of project management disciplines and techniques, as well as presentational skills
