Job Description:

A specialist fire engineering consultancy dedicated to delivering innovative and tailored fire safety solutions is seeking an Associate Director of Fire Engineering to assist the delivery of projects that maximise design outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. The role offers the chance to lead project delivery, mentor the next generation of fire engineers, and play a key part in business development and client relationships.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the development and delivery of high-quality fire safety strategies and designs
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, building long-term relationships across multiple sectors
  • Prepare and manage project proposals, fee bids, and tenders
  • Oversee budgets, timelines, and quality standards across all projects
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Drive innovation in fire safety practices, contributing to industry forums and thought leadership
  • Support company-wide strategic goals and contribute to the growth of the business

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Fire Engineer or Associate within a consultancy environment
  • Strong technical expertise in fire safety design and compliance
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a team
  • Commercial awareness, with experience in fee proposals and project management
  • Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to build lasting professional relationships
