Enterprise Market Risk (EMR-UK) is hiring an Associate Director. This role is a full-time permanent position requiring 4 days in the office.

Job Responsibility:

  • Producing, analysing and reporting the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book Standardised Approach (FRTB-SA) capital numbers
  • Ensuring that the aggregate market risk position is understood and monitored
  • Ensuring that a strong governance framework is in place, including reporting to senior governance committees
  • Ensuring that market risks are managed in accordance with risk appetite and capital availability
  • Leading projects (regulatory or internal)
  • Lead the automation of the risk reports
  • Regulatory reports (VaR, FRTB) and adjustments to the regulatory capital
  • Report and monitor the aggregate market risk positions, escalate limit excesses as appropriate
  • Understand, analyse and communicate the drivers and trends
  • Coordinate and prepare the UK Market Risk Committee materials
  • Continuous enhancement of the methodologies and processes
  • Support Risk IT in the development of Enterprise Risk systems
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Lead major projects with various stakeholders
  • Contribue to the identification of Material Risk Takers

Requirements:

  • Degree or similar/equivalent in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or other relevant field
  • Strong industry experience in financial services (stress testing, corporate treasury, risk management)
  • Experience developing concise and impactful executive-level reports, presentations, and other deliverables
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Python, SQL, and PowerPoint
  • Advanced analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of risks, P&L and capital, FRTB-SA

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in FRTB
  • CFA, FRM, CPA, or any finance- or risk-related professional designation/certification
