Job Description:

Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) is the food service division of Unilever, a global, branded, powerhouse focusing on delivering products and solutions to Chefs across operator groups in over 70 countries. The Operator Marketing team plays a critical role in this collaboration and has end-to-end responsibility in understanding the key operator group insights, identifying the pain points, and designing value-added solutions that results in growth for our customers and our business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Strategy & Category leader
  • Drive growth within priority operator groups within UFS Canada
  • Customizing brand campaigns, developing sales tools, collaborating with culinary teams for menu inspiration
  • Managing and owning category Canada specific P&Ls, understanding our competitive share standing
  • Creating targeted digital content to generate demand
  • Engaging directly with operators through presentations and joint business planning
  • Accountable for delivering business targets aligned with operator needs
  • Leverage data-driven insights, foster collaboration, and maintain a relentless focus on delivering value to both operators and the business
  • Understand trade or customer marketing to ensure plans by customer/ channels bring the best ROI

Requirements:

  • 4-year College Degree in marketing, business or culinary
  • 10+ years of experience in foodservice or relevant experience in marketing
  • Proven track record of developing relationships in cross-functional teams and comfortable engaging with customers
  • Strong project management, presentation skills and business acumen
  • Proficiency and drive to become a proficient user of our systems (Salesforce.com, Power BI)
  • Passion for driving results in a strong interest in the food industry. Competitive volume growth as a key driver

  • Formulate the profile of the Festival’s target markets, tracking the effectiveness of the marketing tactics against the audience segments, improving bottom-line results
  • Articulate a clear value proposition associated with the brand and ensure the proposition is integrated into compelling copy and the work of the marketing, audience engagement, publicity, sponsorship, and communications teams
  • Establish, implement, and evaluate short- and long-range departmental objectives, policies, and operating procedures to ensure goals are met or exceeded
  • Regularly analyze sales data and competitive activity and share with the Festival senior team, together with observations and recommendations
  • Recruit, manage, and provide direction and support to employees, fostering professional development, effectively managing performance and maintaining a caring and inclusive work environment
  • Guide the work of the Marketing, Publicity, Audience and Community Engagement, Film Production & Distribution, Corporate Sponsorship, and Analytic teams setting the overall plan and supporting the leaders regularly in the execution of those plans
  • Advise colleagues on programming choices based on knowledge of target markets, competitive offerings, emerging social issues, and internal competencies
  • Identify and develop new customers, build loyalty among existing customers, and win back lapsed customers
