The Assistant/Associate Director provides strategic leadership within Academic Affairs by optimizing the technological infrastructure underpinning Academic Affairs advising strategies and orchestrating and overseeing the technical lifecycle of Credit for Prior Learning (CPL).
Job Responsibility:
Academic Advising Strategies: develop and manage data analytics and enrollment reports to provide actionable insights, facilitating proactive student outreach and strategic course planning
provide support to various advising centers during peak periods or vacancies
assist the strategic administration of advisor assignments by serving as the primary liaison to department chairs and associate deans, provide expert troubleshooting and consultation to resolve complex caseload and workflow challenges
support advising centers in Slate inbox management
serve as a point of contact for Success First online students
manage petitions for AGS/BGS degrees
Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) Technical Support: manage the technical aspects for CPL submissions/review
serve as the functional expert for the student information system regarding CPL submissions
coordinate with faculty for routing of review
assist in training faculty/professional advisors on CPL
provide assistance in the management of Credit for Prior Learning review and tracking
Flexible Responsibilities: represent Academic Affairs on institutional committees and task forces
stay current on emerging trends in Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) and advising technology
execute additional responsibilities and special assignments as directed by the Senior Director of Academic Affairs Advising and/or Associate Provost to meet the dynamic needs of the Provost Office
Requirements:
Master's degree in Higher Ed, Counseling, or a related field
3 years in academic advising, credit for prior learning, Registrar, or equivalent
Proficiency in Banner, Slate and Degree Audit systems, Microsoft Office
