Job Description:

AKQA is a creative agency that transforms strategic insights into beautiful concepts through art and craftsmanship. The Associate Creative Director will develop strategic approaches based on consumer insight, generate bold and innovative ideas, and present them as compelling narratives to clients. The role involves working across disciplines including brand and CX visions, digital and physical experiences, with a mission to help AKQA Tokyo become Japan's leading creative agency.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver and inspire award-winning work
Lead, direct and manage cross-disciplinary teams
Create ground-breaking work that positively impacts clients, teams and the world
Foster and line-manage creatives
Learn new skills and stay abreast of technical and digital design developments
Work collaboratively with other AKQA network creatives
Work with strategy teams to shape briefs
Contribute to strategic development of creative briefs
Lead idea generation across digital platforms
Creatively lead new business pitches
Manage creative craft skills and supplier selection
Manage stakeholder relationships
Understand client business goals and create stories that communicate client needs

Requirements:

Extensive hands-on experience in client work within Japan
Ability to communicate effectively in both Japanese and English
Experience leading, directing and managing cross-disciplinary and culturally diverse talents
Experience fostering and line-managing creatives in art direction, copywriting or design
Experience working with strategy teams to shape briefs
Experience in new business development and pitch presentations
Experience successfully managing multiple suppliers, partners and clients
