Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Associate Corporate Counsel to join our legal team in Newark, Delaware. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to provide legal expertise across various domains, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property enforcement. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in civil litigation, privacy law, and corporate legal matters, along with exceptional communication and analytical skills.

Job Responsibility

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including consulting, marketing, services, nondisclosure, and manufacturing contracts
  • Provide legal guidance on advertising strategies, marketing content, and social media activities
  • Advise on privacy laws and data security regulations to ensure compliance
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and refining corporate compliance policies and procedures
  • Offer counsel on regulatory matters to align with industry standards
  • Support litigation efforts by managing legal processes and documentation
  • Oversee intellectual property enforcement to protect company assets
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel to address specialized legal needs
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by senior legal staff

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in at least one state
  • A minimum of 5-6 years of relevant legal experience, including exposure to corporate law
  • Proven expertise in advertising law, intellectual property, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with excellent business judgment
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and propose innovative solutions
  • Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering results
  • Familiarity with civil litigation processes, including drafting motions and conducting discovery
  • Proficiency in managing intellectual property matters and enforcing related policies
