Job Description:

As an Associate Corporate Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our corporate accounting team by accurately maintaining and organizing financial information. You will assist with core accounting activities, work with experienced team members in a fast-paced environment, and gain exposure to financial reporting, audits, and regulatory filings. As the the ideal candidate, you are detail-oriented, eager to learn, comfortable performing quantitative analysis, while being able to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process which includes preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis consistent with US GAAP and corporate accounting policies
  • Assisting with general ledger maintenance and preparing subsidiary-level financial statements
  • Supporting the preparation and submission of regulatory tax filings, including GST, PST, and VAT
  • Working with in-country statutory auditors and external accounting partners to support in-country financial reporting requirements for designated subsidiaries, including leading statutory audits
  • As necessary, assist in or lead special projects

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and an interest in learning additional accounting software
  • Experience with US GAAP is highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and communication skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Relevant experience, gained through internships or previous roles, is highly beneficial
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Excellent quantitative, reasoning, and analytical skills with a strong proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite applications (ex. Excel, Word, Google Sheets)
  • Strong sense of urgency and proactive thinker
