We are looking for an extraordinary Associate BI Analyst to help build the financial system of tomorrow. You will be responsible for gathering information, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on established business and operation KPIs, offerings, and initiatives. You will serve a critical role as a trusted business advisor to one of our internal departments.
Job Responsibility:
Help build and maintain clear operational and product KPI definitions from high-level business requirements, with guidance from senior BI team members
Produce concise documentation for metrics, dimensions, and KPIs
answer basic stakeholder questions and escalate complex topics appropriately
Run routine QA checks and simple reconciliation processes using existing playbooks
flag anomalies and help investigate data issues
Create and iterate on foundational dashboards and views in Tableau to support recurring business needs
Write basic to intermediate SQL to pull datasets, validate numbers, and provide quick insights under direction
Capture business questions and translate them into well-scoped reporting requests or data tasks for the engineering/BI backlog
Contribute to the data dictionary, dashboard guides, and runbooks to improve discoverability and consistency
Requirements:
1 year in an analytical role, including internships
Good grasp of Excel / Google Sheets - advanced functions, pivot tables, text/date functions, etc.
Skilled in selecting, filtering, joining, aggregating, and applying basic window functions, with a focus on validating results
Experience with BI tools (preferably Tableau) to create straightforward dashboards and visualizations
Confident working with numbers, applying basic descriptive statistics, and formulating clear, testable questions
Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on data accuracy and documentation
proactively seeks reviews when needed
Able to present findings in a clear, accessible way to non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively across teams
Curious and eager to deepen knowledge of data modeling concepts and best practices
receptive to feedback and continuous improvement
Nice to have:
Experience with statistical and data modelling, Python and Salesforce
Experience with banking and/or financial KPIs & concepts
Knowledge of BigQuery
