Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Associate Attorney to join a collegial team in the East Bay. The ideal candidate will bring 1+ years of experience in insurance litigation and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in legal practice. This role provides the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, balancing remote flexibility with in-person responsibilities as needed to meet client and case demands.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage litigation cases from inception to resolution, including drafting motions and handling discovery requests
  • Conduct depositions and represent clients effectively in court proceedings
  • Perform thorough legal research and prepare high-quality written materials
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies and solutions
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and apply them effectively to cases
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in insurance litigation
  • Participate in activities requiring travel, as needed, for case-related matters
  • Build and maintain strong, attentive relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Utilize strong presentation skills to deliver compelling arguments and case updates

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in California
  • 1+ years of experience in insurance litigation, including civil litigation
  • Proven ability to draft motions and handle discovery processes
  • Demonstrated skill in conducting depositions and court appearances
  • Strong academic background and exceptional writing abilities
  • Effective legal research capabilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines
