Associate Attorney

• Handle matters through the full litigation lifecycle, including all relevant legal procedures and documentation
• Independently draft substantive pleadings, motions, and briefs, including dispositive motions
• Prepare depositions, including drafting outlines and witness preparation
• Manage written discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, RFAs, and document demands
• Review and manage documents to support case development and litigation strategy
• Participate in mediations and settlement preparation
• Conduct legal research to support case development and motion practice
• Assist with trial preparation, including evidence organization and coordination with legal teams
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment throughout all matters

• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing civil litigation as an attorney
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Active California Bar admission, in good standing
• Substantial hands-on experience with discovery, motion practice, and deposition preparation
• Experience in a defense-side civil litigation practice strongly preferred
• Construction or commercial litigation experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to manage discrete assignments independently with limited supervision
• Comfortable working in a billable, deadline-driven law firm environment with consistent weekly productivity
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
