Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking an Associate Attorney for a law firm in Aurora, Illinois. This job is in the legal industry and requires a professional who can handle all aspects of cases from negotiation to trial. The focus of this role will be on Workers Compensation and Personal Injury Law.

Job Responsibility:

  • Handle all aspects of each case from inception to conclusion, including settlement negotiations
  • prepare legal documents such as motions and briefs in an accurate and timely manner
  • conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy
  • take cases to trial when necessary, ensuring all processes are followed and deadlines are met
  • prioritize client communication, keeping them informed and involved in their case
  • utilize skills in Civil Litigation and Workers Compensation to effectively manage and progress cases
  • draft and file legal pleadings in line with court requirements and procedural rules
  • handle court cases professionally, advocating for clients in a court of law
  • develop a strong understanding of our clients' needs and objectives to represent them effectively.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • the applicant must be an active member of the state bar
  • the applicant must demonstrate strong skills in civil litigation
  • excellent client communication skills are required.
