Associate Attorney

• Represent public schools, school districts, and educators in special education and student civil rights (including Title IX) practice
• appear and advocate in proceedings such as IEP meetings and Section 504 plan negotiations
• conduct workplace investigations and witness interviews on (or virtually) school campuses
• put together comprehensive reports of findings as a neutral

• 1-5 years of civil litigation or public administrative law practice
• confident research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• good academic record
• interest in serving as a lawyer for public education and some charter school clients
• at least 1+ year of experience in civil litigation or administrative law practice
• demonstrated strength in legal research and persuasive writing
• familiarity with education law, disability law, student rights matters, or public entity representation is a plus
• experience drafting motions, reports, and other formal legal documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• interest in advising public education clients, including school districts and charter schools
• good academic credentials and a commitment to excellence

• Annual bonuses ranging from $15,000 to $40,000 depending on amount of hours billed
