We are looking for a skilled Associate Attorney to join our team in Santa Rosa, California. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in civil litigation and at least four years of relevant experience, particularly in commercial litigation. Familiarity with employment law is highly desirable, as well as a demonstrated ability to manage case reviews, draft pleadings, and handle law and motion matters effectively.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct thorough case reviews and analyze applicable laws to provide strategic legal counsel
Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail
Represent clients in court proceedings, including arguing law and motion matters
Develop and execute discovery strategies, including preparing and responding to written discovery requests
Collaborate closely with team members to ensure seamless case management and effective representation
Maintain compliance with billable hour requirements, achieving a minimum of 1,650 hours annually
Provide guidance on employment law matters as applicable to client cases
Utilize case management and document management software to organize and track case progress
Research and summarize legal matters to support case strategy and client advisement
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active member of the California State Bar
Minimum of four years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on commercial litigation
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to articulate arguments effectively
Proven attention to detail and organizational skills in managing complex cases
Familiarity with case management and document management software
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Nice to have:
