Job Description:

The firm specializes in transportation law, catastrophic injury cases, dental malpractice, and complex personal injury defense. This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage a diverse caseload and be mentored by partners who actually want to invest in their associates.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage a comprehensive caseload that includes both pre-litigation and active litigation files
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery motions, dispositive motions, and trial preparation materials
  • Collaborate with colleagues to prepare for depositions, negotiations, and client meetings, providing strategic insights
  • Negotiate effectively with opposing counsel and other parties to resolve disputes and achieve favorable outcomes
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on case progress and strategies
  • Prepare cases for trial, ensuring all necessary documents and strategies are in place
  • Meet billable hour requirements of 1850 annually

Requirements:

  • 2-8 years of civil litigation experience in CA
  • Stability on resume
  • Ability to commute to downtown San Diego 3x/week minimum
  • CA bar license
