Robert Half Legal is recruiting an Associate Attorney for the Fresno office of its large, very successful regional law firm client servicing public entity clients.
Job Responsibility:
Represent public schools, school districts, and educators in the firm's special education and student civil rights (including Title IX) practice
Appear and advocate in proceedings, such as Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and Section 504 plan negotiations
Conduct workplace investigations and witness interviews on (or virtually) school campuses and prepare comprehensive reports of findings as a neutral
Requirements:
Active license to practice law and good standing with the State Bar
1-5 years of practice, ideally in civil litigation or public administrative law
Strong skills in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy
Demonstrated interest in education law and working with public entities
Good academic record and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services
Nice to have:
Experience or familiarity with special education and disability law
