Are you a proactive legal professional with a passion for the financial services industry? Our client, a leading Georgia-based financial institution, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their dynamic legal team! This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter to provide high-level counsel on retail lending, consumer protection, and regulatory compliance within a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Job Responsibility:

Legal Counsel: Advise on consumer banking, mortgage servicing, and collections
Document Mastery: Draft and revise Membership Agreements, commercial contracts, and regulatory disclosures
Regulatory Navigation: Partner with Compliance to interpret NCUA, CFPB, and Regulation Z/TILA requirements
Strategic Research: Stay ahead of legislative trends to provide probable outcomes and recommendations for the organization

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
2+ years of legal experience, preferably within banking, credit unions, or a highly regulated industry
Exceptional writing, negotiation, and the ability to synthesize complex laws for various audiences
A responsive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities with ease

Nice to have:

Experience as a corporate generalist or a background in UDAAP, FCRA, and FDCPA
Specialized knowledge in commercial real estate, collections, or bankruptcy
