Job Description

We are partnering with a full-service downtown Minneapolis law firm seeking a transactional/business attorney to join its practice. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal setting handling transactional matters and is interested in broadening their practice and taking on substantive, hands-on work. The role offers direct access to partners who are actively involved in mentorship and associate development.

Job Responsibility

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts
  • Review and revise NDAs and other routine business agreements
  • Advise clients on contract terms, risk, and practical next steps
  • Handle a consistent flow of day-to-day transactional work with limited oversight
  • Assist on broader transactional matters, including exposure to government contracts
  • Support trademark and copyright matters, including reviewing agreements and related filings

Requirements

  • 2–5 years (flexible for strong 1–4 year candidates) of transactional/corporate experience
  • J.D. with solid academic performance
  • Licensed to practice in Minnesota
  • Strong drafting and writing skills

Some familiarity with intellectual property matters, including trademarks and copyrights
