Job Responsibility:
Develop comprehensive case strategies through detailed legal and factual analysis
Draft high-quality pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and legal memoranda
Conduct and defend depositions while managing discovery disputes effectively
Represent clients in federal court, advocating for their interests with precision
Collaborate closely with clients and co-counsel to ensure successful case outcomes
Research and apply federal laws, including preemption and maritime litigation issues
Address complex legal challenges such as construction disputes and transportation-related cases
Participate in settlement negotiations and contribute to client development initiatives
Maintain a balance between quality-focused case management and flexible work practices that emphasize attention to detail
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a preference for federal cases
Demonstrated expertise in legal research, analysis, and drafting motions
Strong courtroom presence and negotiation skills
Proven ability to manage cases from initiation to resolution independently
Licensed attorney with knowledge of civil litigation and federal law, including freight cases
Familiarity with discovery processes and briefing procedures
Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Experience in deposing, defending and taking depositions in state or federal court
Nice to have:
