Job Responsibility

Work collaboratively within an experienced litigation practice group
Collaborate with other attorneys across other practice groups within the firm, as well as clients and third-party advisors
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents
Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis of case law and statutes
Manage discovery, including depositions, document review, and expert witness preparation
Assist with trial preparation and courtroom advocacy
Communicate directly with clients, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the litigation process
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute litigation strategies that align with client goals
Represent clients in commercial disputes in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
active license to practice law in Missouri
minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation, including discovery and motion practice
proficiency in legal research, writing, and analytical reasoning
strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines efficiently
excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
experience in depositions and arguing motions in court.

Job Responsibility

Oversee commercial litigation cases from initial filing through resolution, ensuring thorough case management
conduct in-depth legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents

stay informed about changes in laws and regulations relevant to commercial litigation
