Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client focused Mechanical Engineering Technical expert to join our Pioneer team in Malaysia. Working across a variety of sectors such as Data Centres, Hotel and Hospitality, Commercial and Retail.

Job Responsibility:

  • Take responsibility for the operational delivery of projects
  • Manage project teams
  • Manage client relationships
  • Line management of teams
  • Play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative design solutions
  • Manage and control financial aspects of projects
  • Work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects
  • Part of a global skills community for sharing knowledge, projects and your specific expertise
  • Develop new and nurture existing outstanding client relationships
  • Use your wealth of expertise and determination to manage, motivate and lead our group of multi-disciplinary engineers

Requirements:

  • Chartered/Professional Engineer
  • Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • Vast experience within a building services context
  • Ideally vast experience in a data centre field
  • Strong understanding of low energy design
  • Proven technical expertise in the relevant design software
  • Consistently demonstrated ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and teams
  • Passion for creative and intuitive design
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Having achieved the Board of Engineers Malaysia’s Practicing certificate will be a plus
  • Regional or international experience would be an added advantage

Nice to have:

  • Vast experience in a data centre field

  • Contribute to and support internal project management processes including fee tracking, progress monitoring, and programme delivery
