Job Description:

The Associate Art Director supports the Sr. Art Directors / Creative Director in concepting and executing seasonal editorial imagery campaigns that push the A&F family of brands forward. This includes Abercrombie & Fitch and Your Personal Best (YPB) active wear by Abercrombie. They will collaborate with photography, styling, design, product, and strategy teams to develop and share the creative vision each season for the A&F brand. This individual would be accountable for ideating and support creating original branded content, along with fostering the organization and cross-functional partnerships required to execute against the overall brand strategy.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the Sr. Art Directors / Creative Director in concepting and executing seasonal editorial imagery campaigns
  • Collaborate with photography, styling, design, product, and strategy teams to develop and share the creative vision each season
  • Ideate and support creating original branded content
  • Foster the organization and cross-functional partnerships required to execute against the overall brand strategy
  • Work closely on the conceptual development and execution of A&F Adults seasonal editorial campaigns
  • Build the A&F brand handwriting for a new generation of consumers
  • Support the concepting and planning of A&F seasonal photoshoots by compiling imagery for mood boards, organizing and updating production details for internal presentations, model casting, communicating with third party production companies/vendors on all aspects of shoot production
  • Build and update pre-production decks for external shoot teams
  • Support Sr. AD/Creative Director on finalizing photography edits
  • Organize imagery of all mediums through to finalization
  • Collaborate as needed in post-production with retouching and design partners, organizing within A&F platforms
  • Collaborate clearly and effectively with the broader creative team
  • Ensure all seasonal visuals and content are synergized, telling focused brand stories and fulfilling deliverables across all channels
  • Support in both preparing and leading presentations of ideas/ projects to cross functional partners and all levels of leadership
  • Maintain casting, image, location databases for current and future planning
  • Support A&F family of brands and the A&F Studio

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Photography, Advertising or related experience
  • 2+ years of art direction experience in fashion retail or a related industry
  • On set photoshoot experience
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Capture One, Keynote, Figma and Mural programs
  • Experience collaborating with large cross-functional teams
  • Clear communication and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritize/bring urgency to tasks as needed
  • Highly organized
  • Adaptable to change
  • A passion for and understanding of current trends in fashion, photography, social media, and culture
  • Travel required to GHO in Columbus, Ohio for key meetings
  • Possible travel for photo shoots
