We are seeking an individual to support application deployment and release activities for Telecom BSS/OSS platforms across production and non‑production environments. This role focuses on reliable code promotion, automation through scripting, and operational support to ensure system stability, service availability, and adherence to agreed SLAs. The individual will collaborate closely with delivery, testing, and operations teams to resolve incidents and continuously improve deployment processes.
Job Responsibility:
Deploy and promote application code across multiple environments within agreed SLAs
Implement configuration and software changes as per approved requests
Develop and maintain automation scripts using shell scripting, Python, Groovy, YAML and JSON
Support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps and GoCD
Investigate, diagnose and resolve deployment‑related incidents and defects
Handle production incident tickets and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution
Ensure adherence to defined operational processes and standards
Monitor system performance and contribute to high availability of applications
Support project and testing teams during release and deployment cycles
Contribute to reducing incident, problem and service request trends across the application suite
Requirements:
Experienced in application deployment within Telecom BSS/OSS or enterprise environments
Hands‑on with Unix/Linux operating systems, including command‑line tools and vi editor
Skilled in scripting using Unix shell and Python
Familiar with AWS cloud services and enterprise application deployments
Experienced with Apache Tomcat and application server configuration, including data sources
Knowledgeable in CI/CD practices and modern deployment tooling
Comfortable working with ITIL processes and operational support models
Able to collaborate effectively across technical and non‑technical teams
Experienced in resolving complex and critical application issues
Typically brings 3–4 years of relevant professional experience
