Job Description:

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, people-focused organisation with a flat structure and strong reputation in the pensions market. The business continues to grow its client portfolio and is investing in both technology and talent to support long-term, sustainable development. You will join a team of four, reporting directly to a senior leader, while working alongside a wider group of experienced actuaries across the business. The structure provides visibility, accessibility to decision-makers, and genuine involvement in client delivery from the outset. The role offers broad exposure across UK defined benefit pensions work, with the chance to build on both technical and consulting capabilities within a supportive and well-resourced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Advising trustees and corporate clients on UK defined benefit pension schemes
  • Supporting and leading actuarial valuations and related project work
  • Contributing to areas such as GMP equalisation, risk transfer and PPF-related work (where applicable)
  • Attending and contributing to client meetings
  • Managing projects and supporting more junior team members
  • Working closely with colleagues across actuarial, investment and administration functions

Requirements:

  • Hold a 2:1 or above in a relevant degree
  • Are nearing completion of Fellowship or have recently qualified (FIA)
  • Have strong experience in a similar UK pensions consulting role
  • Demonstrate excellent client service and communication skills
  • Have a broad understanding of UK DB schemes and investment considerations
  • Possess strong Excel and systems capability
  • Are organised, proactive and comfortable managing projects
