Job Description:

We work with prospective customers to help them navigate and evaluate our solutions so that any business can become a fintech. Our Sales team combines deep product and industry knowledge and is focused on bringing Plaid to an ever-broadening set of businesses. Our thesis is that every company in financial services, and most specifically the Banks themselves, can benefit from better technology and access to data. Plaid’s Banking & Wealth team partners with financial institutions to modernize digital banking, payments, and wealth experiences. As an Inside Sales Rep / Associate AE, you will drive early-stage pipeline, shepherd financial institutions through discovery, and own the closing process for smaller deals. You’ll collaborate closely with senior AEs, Solutions Engineering, and cross-functional partners to help banks, credit unions, and wealth platforms adopt Plaid’s connectivity, identity, payments, and data solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Qualify inbound interest and proactively source new opportunities across banks, credit unions, and wealth platforms OR enterprise companies
  • Conduct deep discovery tailored to regulated industries and identify relevant use cases such as account opening, ACH transfers, identity verification, and wealth aggregation
  • Own and close smaller deals (≤ $100K ARR) independently or with support from your manager and field AE
  • Manage full-cycle motions for lower-complexity sales, including scoping, pricing, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Partner with senior AEs on larger, multi-stakeholder deals
  • Assist senior AEs with early-stage qualification and strategy and qualification
  • Craft tailored value narratives for financial institutions and support product demonstrations
  • Provide structured, industry-specific feedback to Product, Risk, and GTM
  • Maintain accurate CRM data to support forecasting, especially for regulated-institution pipelines

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years in Inside Sales, SDR/BDR, or junior AE roles
  • fintech or financial institution sales a plus
  • Comfort navigating multi-persona conversations with compliance, product, and technology stakeholders
  • Ability to manage a blend of self-owned deals and collaborative cycle support with senior sellers
