The global Asset Management Transactions practice executes the full spectrum of corporate transactions involving asset managers, investment funds, broker-dealers, financial advisors, and ancillary financial services businesses. Driven by deep industry expertise, global reach, and a robust regulatory footprint, the interdisciplinary team helps clients navigate complex regulations while structuring transactions to minimize risk and achieve business objectives. The team leverages a global platform to advise on transactions across the US, Europe, Middle East, and Asia, serving a diverse array of clients, including: Asset managers; Private equity firms; GP staking firms; Banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions; Founders, management teams, and boards of directors. Core Transactional Areas Include: M&A and Investment Fund Transactions: Full buy-out/control transactions; Minority 'GP stakes' transactions; Joint venture transactions; Management team spin-outs, lift-outs, and other carve-out transactions; Corporate restructurings, separations, and succession planning. Additional Liquidity Solutions: Continuation fund transactions; Preferred equity solutions; Structured and synthetic secondaries; LP portfolio sales; Net asset value (NAV) financings; Strip sales; Tender offers. Investment Regulatory, Enforcement, and Compliance Matters. The Asset Management Transactions practice group seeks highly qualified associates with a minimum of 4 years of experience in asset management M&A, including GP stakes and control asset management transactions, to join the 5th through 8th year associate classes.
