Job Description

Blackburn College, a Division III member of the NCAA and the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC), invites applications for the position of Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. This is a part-time, 10-month position designed to support the continued development of a competitive and student-centered program. The Assistant Coach will play an integral role in team preparation, recruiting, academic support, and day-to-day operations of the program. We are looking for an individual who demonstrates strong leadership, a passion for mentorship, and a commitment to the mission of Division III athletics and the values of Blackburn College.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III women’s soccer program
  • Attend and actively participate in practices, games, and team travel
  • Support the recruitment of student-athletes who are a strong fit for Blackburn academically and athletically
  • Contribute to practice planning and game-day strategy
  • Promote the academic and personal development of student-athletes
  • Support the head coach in administrative tasks, including inventory management, scheduling, and compliance
  • Participate in departmental and team fundraising activities
  • Attend athletic department meetings and staff development opportunities
  • Positively represent the college in campus, conference, and community settings

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a coach or athlete at the high school, collegiate, or professional level
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, support staff, and campus departments
  • A genuine interest in mentoring student-athletes and contributing to their overall college experience
  • Must meet the physical requirements of the position
