As the Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse activities. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager (in New Jersey) to oversee all aspects of inventory management, logistics, and warehouse operations. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in coordinating and supervising warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of staging equipment and materials.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including receiving, storing, and issuing staging equipment and materials
Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
Coordinate with suppliers to replenish inventory as needed and optimize stock levels
Assist in planning and coordinating the transportation of staging equipment and materials to and from project sites
Work closely with the logistics team & staging and ID team members to schedule deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely arrivals and departures
Monitor transportation schedules and address any issues or delays that may arise
Supervise warehouse staff in day-to-day operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of staging equipment
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
Optimize warehouse layout and organization to maximize space utilization and efficiency
Assist in inspecting staging equipment and materials for quality and functionality upon receipt and before dispatch
Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction
Provide guidance and support to warehouse staff, including training on proper procedures and best practices
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, productivity, and accountability
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipping documents, and other relevant paperwork
Generate reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, stock movements, and operational performance
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in warehouse operations
Implement solutions to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, preferably in the events or staging industry
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment
Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
