Job Description:

At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 17 in the World’s 50 Best Hotels), we are seeking a highly engaged Assistant Waiter to join our Astron Bar & Lounge / Aristotle’s Cigar Lounge team for the Season 2026 (minimum 6 or 7 months contract). You will assist the bar team in delivering refined, attentive service in a sophisticated lounge environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in describing and presenting menu items, including food and beverage, to guests in an engaging and knowledgeable manner
  • Communicate guest orders, including any special requests, to the kitchen and coordinate timely delivery of items
  • Assist with table setup, breakdown, and maintenance of buffets, food stations, and service areas
  • Retrieve and stock linen, china, silver, glassware, and other food and beverage supplies
  • Serve appetizers, coffee, tea, bread, and butter according to Four Seasons standards
  • Provide unobtrusive and professional service, supporting the team during high-volume periods
  • Collaborate with stewarding, culinary, and housekeeping teams to ensure seamless service
  • Operate tea/coffee equipment and assist with in-room dining and other hotel outlets as required
  • Maintain safety and hygiene protocols, responding appropriately to any emergency or safety situation
  • Assist colleagues in completing other duties, including clearing tables, food running, mise-en-place, polishing equipment, and cleaning service areas

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Applicants must have European Passport or the legal right to work in Greece
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service is an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • proficiency in Greek is an advantage
  • Food handling and sanitation certification is a plus
