Job Description:

This role is part of HSBC's Global Markets Operations Centre of Excellence in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, focusing on collateral management and valuations. Responsibilities include reviewing processes for improvements, managing counterparty risk exposure, resolving disputes, and acting as a primary contact for priority clients. The role also involves team management, staff development, and stakeholder interaction to ensure high-quality service and compliance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Continually review and challenge current processes for improvements
  • Identify control gaps and reengineer processes
  • Identify and highlight disputed margin calls and escalate as necessary
  • Perform tasks according to prescribed procedures
  • Manage team workload and distribute clients accordingly
  • Escalate default situations through reporting lines
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations
  • Maintain and review procedures to eliminate operational and counterparty credit risk
  • Manage counterparty risk exposure
  • Provide valuation support to Clients
  • Expedite resolution of Mark to Market (MTM) differences
  • Act as key contact for priority clients
  • Manage training and onboarding of new staff
  • Collaborate with onshore operations and business stakeholders
  • Interact with stakeholders regarding Risk systems and roadmaps
  • Ensure end-to-end connected and streamlined processes
  • Regularly brief and coach team members
  • Encourage high levels of customer service
  • Identify and address team strengths and weaknesses.
