Job Description:

The Assistant Vice President Risk Stewardship - FC CIB role will support VP Risk Stewardship CoE and respective FC team in Switzerland CIB to manage the financial crime risks that they face.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support Switzerland FC Stewards, provide oversight of FC controls to effectively challenge risks or control outcomes through analysis and review of Issue Management, L1 and L2 Controls, Inherent and Residual risks
  • Assist to review LOB RCAs, control descriptions, residual risk descriptions, trigger events
  • Support the country CIB domain in various activities/tasks
  • Update the guidance documents to ensure consistent application of the FC framework
  • Prepare and design governance packs to facilitate and include the key data elements required to understand the control environment of FC
  • Oversight and challenge of the use and adoption of NFRO / RMF deliverables
  • Assist in the various thematic reviews and in various compliance training needs where needs of analysis and deck content
  • Assist in reviewing exception reports and MI & assisting to follow up with the respective LOB stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Experience in Financial Crime Risk management advisory or similar Risk function
  • Proficient knowledge of FC risks, CIB products and Regulations in the financial services industry
  • Proven client risk management expertise, including CIB experience, preferably gained within HSBC or one of its peers
  • Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. within the financial services industry
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Experience of interpreting and analysing a large volume of information
  • Ability to work independently
