Job Description:

The Fin Solutions Sr. Analyst role is focused on designing and executing financial solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and improving financial processes. The position combines strategic planning, data validation, and team collaboration to contribute to Citi's financial operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions
  • participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations
  • assists in setting business and information architecture standards for Finance
  • plays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and standards for global Finance processes
  • participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications
  • resolves complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines or processes
  • manages one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and considered analytical or procedural 'expert' representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables
  • supervises day-to-day work of junior level employees
  • performs other duties and functions as assigned
  • operates with limited direct supervision
  • acts as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members
  • assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for firm reputation and compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations

Requirements:

  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred
  • excellent relational and communication skills
  • advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • data analysis and validation
  • knowledge of BCBS 239 principles and regulatory reporting
  • strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Python, etc.)
  • understanding of financial transactions and reporting standards
  • experience in regulatory compliance testing, particularly in financial institutions
  • prior experience with BCBS 239 or similar regulations
  • previous roles in quality assurance or financial reporting
  • familiarity with transaction lifecycle and audit trail
