Join HSBC as Assistant Vice President - Operational Resilience, WHOLESALE NON-FINANCIAL RISK, contributing to risk culture, resilience management, and compliance within Asia-Pacific Wholesale banking. Engage in a dynamic workspace, drive initiatives supporting the organisation’s Digital Transformation plans, and interact with diverse business owners and regulators.

Job Responsibility:

  • Proactively identify and oversee financial and non-financial information security and cyber risks
  • Promote HSBC’s balanced risk culture through continual assessment of risk in the business
  • Support ongoing compliance of Resilience Risk Management initiatives across Asia-Pacific (ASP) Wholesale banking
  • Work closely with Regional/Country stakeholders to protect customer and employee data and assure compliance with Global Regulations
  • Operate effectively across a matrix organisation
  • Actively engage a wide variety of stakeholders including Global/Country Business Owners, Product Providers, and Risk Stewards to support product governance framework and minimise impact on customers and frontline.

Requirements:

  • Relevant product knowledge including background of Risk Management
  • Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. strong exposure to Wholesale business
  • Knowledge and awareness on Operational Resilience
  • Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles in Commercial Banking
  • Good understanding of the Operational Risk Framework
  • Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment especially in the financial services sector
  • Leadership, management and coaching skills
  • Proven problem solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions
  • Highly developed communication, presentation and influencing skills set
  • Ability to prioritise and work independently under pressure within a team environment
  • Ability to use strong judgmental skills to identify and resolve complex problems whilst adhering to timelines and quality of output
  • Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above
  • Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.
