Job Description:

Join HSBC as Assistant Vice President - Operational Resilience, WHOLESALE NON-FINANCIAL RISK, contributing to risk culture, resilience management, and compliance within Asia-Pacific Wholesale banking. Engage in a dynamic workspace, drive initiatives supporting the organisation’s Digital Transformation plans, and interact with diverse business owners and regulators.

Job Responsibility:

Proactively identify and oversee financial and non-financial information security and cyber risks
Promote HSBC’s balanced risk culture through continual assessment of risk in the business
Support ongoing compliance of Resilience Risk Management initiatives across Asia-Pacific (ASP) Wholesale banking
Work closely with Regional/Country stakeholders to protect customer and employee data and assure compliance with Global Regulations
Operate effectively across a matrix organisation
Actively engage a wide variety of stakeholders including Global/Country Business Owners, Product Providers, and Risk Stewards to support product governance framework and minimise impact on customers and frontline.

Requirements:

Relevant product knowledge including background of Risk Management
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. strong exposure to Wholesale business
Knowledge and awareness on Operational Resilience
Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles in Commercial Banking
Good understanding of the Operational Risk Framework
Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment especially in the financial services sector
Leadership, management and coaching skills
Proven problem solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions
Highly developed communication, presentation and influencing skills set
Ability to prioritise and work independently under pressure within a team environment
Ability to use strong judgmental skills to identify and resolve complex problems whilst adhering to timelines and quality of output
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above
