The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Venue Manager to support the Venue Manager in the daily operations of The Ritz-Carlton Lobby Lounge. This full-time position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a luxury hospitality environment and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. In this role, you will work collaboratively to uphold the highest standards of service, quality, and operational excellence. You will play a key part in leading the team, ensuring seamless shift operations, and supporting the overall success of the venue.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the Venue Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery across all shifts
Support team leadership through rostering, training, coaching, and motivating Ladies & Gentlemen to consistently exceed guest expectations
Contribute to the implementation of strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance guest engagement
Assist in managing beverage operations, including inventory control, cost management, and adherence to portion and quality standards
Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal liquor and beverage regulations
Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns professionally, ensuring positive and memorable outcomes
Collaborate closely with the culinary team to support the development and promotion of curated food and beverage offerings
Support financial performance by monitoring key metrics and assisting in achieving budgetary targets
Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture aligned with The Ritz-Carlton values
Assist with onboarding and training new team members, ensuring they are set up for success
Requirements:
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
Full-time working rights required
RSA Certificate required
Experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel is highly desirable
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the Venue Manager
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining luxury service excellence and attention to detail
A passion for hospitality and delivering high-quality service
