The town of Deerfield seeks qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Town Clerk. This is a 12.5 hour per week, non-exempt, non-benefitted position.
Job Responsibility:
Supports the Town Clerk in the daily operations of the Town Clerk’s Office
Maintaining official municipal records
Administering elections
Issuing licenses and official documents
Providing information to residents and town departments
Performs all statutory duties of the Town Clerk in their absence
Provides support to the Tax Collector/Treasurer’s Office in a shared office space serving Deerfield’s residents
Requirements:
Associate’s degree in business or public administration, paralegal or related field
One to three years of related experience
Or any equivalent combination of education, certification, training and experience
Must demonstrate strong writing, customer service, and computer skills
