Job Description

Stockport is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Team Leader to support the delivery of high-quality adult social work Mental Health & Autism services. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior practitioner ready to step into a leadership role or an existing team leader looking for a new challenge.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervise and support Social Workers
  • Provide guidance on complex cases and decision-making
  • Chair professional meetings and case discussions
  • Ensure high standards of practice across the team

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Team Leader or Senior Social Worker
  • Strong experience in: Severe Mental Health
  • Autism
  • Care Act
  • Mental Capacity Act (MCA)
  • Safeguarding
  • Confident in chairing meetings and leading discussions
  • Full UK driving licence required
