Job Responsibility:
Targeted Interventions: Delivering structured literacy and numeracy booster sessions to small groups to close attainment gaps
Classroom Assistance: Supporting the Class Teacher by preparing bespoke learning resources and managing the classroom environment
Inclusion Support: Providing dedicated one-to-one assistance for pupils with specific learning needs or Education, Health and Care Plans
Progress Tracking: Assisting with the recording of pupil observations and feedback to help monitor academic and social development
Behaviour Management: Upholding the school's positive behaviour policy by encouraging self-regulation and a focused learning attitude
Holistic Care: Supervising pupils during break times and school trips to ensure a safe and inclusive social experience
Requirements:
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (such as NVQ Level 3) is highly desirable
Proven experience working with primary-aged children within a UK school setting
Strong literacy and numeracy skills to effectively support National Curriculum delivery
A proactive, resilient, and professional approach to supporting diverse learning needs
A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or a willingness to complete a new application
