Job Description:

We’re looking for a full-time Dispensing Optician (37.5 hours) to join our Bury St Edmunds Brentgovel and Cornhill stores. This is a twin-town role, supporting both locations in Bury St Edmunds, offering the opportunity to work across two established practices in the historic town centre. The stores are freestanding practices serving a varied patient demographic in a unique historic town setting. You’ll be joining a supportive team of 5 colleagues, including a Contact Lens Optician, creating a collaborative and friendly working environment.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and inspire your team to deliver an exemplary customer journey
Work closely with the Store Manager to create and deliver the commercial plan
Customer service
Store operations
Clinical activities including patient pre-screening, dispensing, accuracy checks
Manage a team with a variety of experience and clinical knowledge
Help team develop their knowledge, skills and shape their future careers
Complete management tasks such as creating and maintaining rotas, return to work reviews and performance management

Requirements:

GOC Registered
Experience working in a customer facing role
Desire to learn
Led or coached a team

Nice to have:

Experience working in a clinical environment
