The purpose of this role is to support the Store Manager with all operational activities and to ensure the achievement of set sales and profit targets for the store. The role of the Assistant Manager is also to assume the duties of the store manager when they are out of the business, through ensuring the store is run to the highest standards and operational efficiency. This includes training and developing the team in order to deliver budget goals and customer service excellence, as well as ensuring the visual merchandise presentation reflects the brand vision and meets the highest standards possible. Strong relationships with clients and the local business community must be built and maintained.

monitor product sell through
report sales patterns
achieve KPI targets
optimize sales
encourage team to attract new clients
ensure team captures customer data
ensure team builds personal client book
maximize stock levels on shop floor
promote key products
assist in planning in-store promotional events
ensure merchandising aligns with Belstaff image
ensure stock correctly labelled and tagged
maintain stock condition
maintain team understanding of VM standards
ensure high standards of housekeeping
carry out administrative aspects
assist Store Manager with HR tasks
hold regular team briefing sessions
ensure communication flow
daily task planning
produce monthly staffing schedules
follow HSE legislation
lead H&S processes
ensure team follows HSE
ensure stock protection
be alert to theft
participate in audits and counts
ensure minimal shrinkage
respond to reasonable requests from management
liaise with Store Manager
run store in absence of Store Manager
control petty cash
