Job Description:

The Assistant Manager role is pivotal to ensuring the stores success. The purpose of this role is to support the Store Manager with all operational activities and to ensure the achievement of set sales and profit targets for the store. The role of the Assistant Manager is also to assume the duties of the store manager when they are out of the business, through ensuring the store is run to the highest standards and operational efficiency. This includes training and developing the team in order to deliver budget goals and customer service excellence, as well as ensuring the visual merchandise presentation reflects the brand vision and meets the highest standards possible. Strong relationships with clients and the local business community must be built and maintained.

Job Responsibility:

  • To actively encourage the team members to achieve their own KPI’s
  • To be aware of and assist in the achievement of Store KPI’s

  • To meet with team and Store Manager on a monthly basis
  • To ensure that the merchandising is in line with the Belstaff image
  • To ensure that stock is correctly labelled, tagged and available
  • Ensuring that the stock is in the best possible condition for sale
  • To maintain the teams understanding of the company policy on VM standards
  • To oversee training and coaching
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained
  • Ensure all administrative aspects of the job are carried out efficiently
  • Assist the Store Manager with all HR tasks
  • To hold regular team briefing sessions
  • To ensure communication flow with Team and Store Manager
  • To be continually aware of all company communications
  • Daily task planning & ensuring completion of tasks
  • Produce monthly staffing schedules
  • To be aware of and follow all company rules and HSE legislation
  • To lead and proactively manage the H&S processes
  • To ensure that all team members are aware of HSE legislation
  • To be aware of Company, Store Security, cash handling and key holding procedures
  • To ensure team are aware of how to use tagging & other security systems
  • To ensure that all stock is protected at all times
  • To be alert to the possibility of theft
  • To enforce the standards of storing stock
  • To participate in and co-ordinate all audits and counts
  • To ensure minimal shrinkage according to targets set
